In order to inspire conversation between the veterans, friends and family about their experiences while serving in the military, I chose to create visually interactive installations based on events and engagements representing different eras in our military history.
The sites, located throughout the home, also promote way-finding and offer destinations for reflection and contemplation.
This public art commission was awarded through the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Percent-for-Art program.
The opening was on Veterans Day, November, 2017.
